Leadership Team

Richard Shinto, popularly known as Rick, is a key player in the success of InnovaCare Health. As president and CEO, he guides the company’s professionals on ways in which the company can expand to other locations and markets. He is also dedicated to developing strategies for improvements that would benefit patients. Since his appointment in 2012, InnovaCare Health has been on the world map for its quality Medicare Advantage plans.

Prior to joining InnovaCare, Shinto worked for several operational and clinical healthcare companies. These include Aveta, Call Optima Health Plan developed by Orange County, and NAMM California. At Aveta, Shinto was recognized for his commitment to professional excellence when he bagged the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award.

Besides his leadership experience, Rick Shinto is a celebrated author. His books usually focus on clinical medicine. Much of his technical and leadership experience can be attributed to the medical degree he got from the State University of New York. He also earned an MBA after attending the University of Redlands.

Penelope Kokkinides is also part of InnovaCare’s executive team. She joined the company as the COO but currently serves as the chief administrative officer. For the last two decades, her professional career revolved around the development of clinical programs and the management of health care operations.
